According to the Department of Labor,
"The Trade Adjustment Assistance (TAA) Program is a federal program that provides a path for employment growth and opportunity through aid to US workers who have lost their jobs as a result of foreign trade. The TAA program seeks to provide these trade-affected workers with opportunities to obtain the skills, resources, and support they need to become reemployed."
Were you aware that New Horizons of Charlotte has helped a large number of students become successfully retrained in up-to-date computer skills through the leveraging of TAA funding?
TAA (Trade Adjustment Assistance) offers special benefits to workers who have lost their job due to overseas competition. It provides money for retraining and extended unemployment while in school as well as many other additional benefits.
You may have heard of special meetings in which Trade Act representatives meet with former employees of companies which have been approved for TAA funding.
Here at New Horizons Charlotte, we have been able to assist many of our students in understanding the TAA act and its potential benefits and determine their eligibility.
Please contact us today and let us help you learn about the program and how it may provide benefits for you!
