Transfer of Credit Disclosure

Contact hours earned at New Horizons Computer Learning Center may not transfer to another educational institution. Credits or contact hours earned at another educational institution or relevant work experience may be accepted by New Horizons Computer Learning Center. Upon consultation with their student services representative, a determination will be made which is agreeable to both the student and the institution as to how to apply credit or clock hours previously earned, or relevant work experience, towards the student’s desired program of study. If you have achieved a certification from CompTIA, Microsoft or other approved vendor that is part of a New Horizons program, you must provide the official transcript providing proof of such certification and New Horizon may waive the class requirement for that portion of your program.  You should contact any educational institutions to which you may want to transfer contact hours earned at New Horizons Computer Learning Center to determine if such institutions will accept contact hours earned prior to executing an enrollment contract or agreement.

The ability to transfer contact hours from New Horizons Computer Learning Center to another educational institution may be very limited.  Students should be aware that transfer of credit is always the responsibility of the receiving institution.  Your contact hours may not transfer and you may have to repeat courses taken at New Horizons Computer Learning Center if you enroll at another educational facility.  You should never assume that contact hours will transfer to or from any educational institution.  It is the student’s responsibility to confirm transferability of New Horizons courses to other educational institutions.  It is suggested students contact an institutions Administration Department and inquire about an existing Articulation Agreement before attempting to transfer.
